Community Shop & Fridge

Inspero runs a weekly Food Bank – Community Shop & Fridge every Tuesday 9.30am – 12.30pm at Kempshott Village Hall. The shop is stocked with fresh produce, ambient & frozen foods as well as basic hygiene essentials and pet food. During the months from May to October there is also fresh organic produce available from our charity community garden. People struggling in the cost of living crisis can come and shop for a small donation to help feed their families and have access to good, healthy foods.

At Inspero we have an experienced, friendly food bank team with a great willingness to support local people in need.

  • A ‘drop in’  Community Shop & Fridge (now based at Kempshott Village Hall) stocked with donated grocery items from local supermarkets, surplus food donations and produce from Inspero’s own organic garden for those struggling to feed themselves and their families and also for everyone who wants to support less food waste in our communities.
  • 3 days per week Food Parcel referral service if you are in need of emergency food and other items via referral from agencies such as CAB, Schools, Mental Health Charities etc

Our Food Bank started on 21st March 2020 in the global Covid pandemic, here are some images of our work during this period.

“I received a food package for you this afternoon and I wanted to say a big thank you. Means a lot to me as I can’t get to the shops with my children so having others support is a life line at the moment.”

Laura, Kempshott

If you weren’t here I would starve, by the time you’ve paid the bills there isn’t much left for food, people like me would be done for.”

Roy, Buckskin
