Welcome to Inspero’s WellnessNWellies Programme.

Enhancing mental, physical, and emotional health through sustainable horticulture, nature therapy, and hands-on learning.

ABOUT WELLNESSNWELLIES

At Inspero, we believe in the power of nature to transform lives. Our local community wellbeing programme, WellnessNWellies, is designed to enhance mental, physical, and emotional health through sustainable horticulture, nature therapy, and hands-on learning.

Set in our beautiful RHS award-winning community garden, this initiative is open to all, promoting connection, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle through the healing benefits of nature.

Nestled in Kempshott, Stratton Park, Basingstoke, our community garden is an oasis of calm and beauty. Recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society, it provides the perfect setting for WellnessNWellies, offering a peaceful environment where people can immerse themselves in nature and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening.

LEARNING AND GROWTH THROUGH NATURE

WellnessNWellies is designed to immerse children in the wonders of the natural world, giving them the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow in a hands-on, outdoor environment. With activities like bushcraft, den building, birdwatching, and campfire games, children will not only have fun but also develop essential life skills that will benefit them both in and outside of the classroom including:

Engaging in outdoor challenges helps children build self-esteem by achieving goals and overcoming obstacles.

Collaborative activities, such as den building and campfire games, teach the importance of working together and communicating effectively.

Hands-on tasks like shelter-making and bushcraft encourage creative thinking and practical problem-solving skills.

Through activities like birdwatching and learning to grow food, children gain a deeper understanding of nature, fostering a lifelong respect for the environment.

Participating in outdoor adventures allows children to make decisions, develop leadership qualities, and become more self-reliant.

Crafting bird boxes, building shelters, and upcycling projects give children the opportunity to express their creativity in new and exciting ways.

Outdoor play and gentle exercise help keep children active, promoting physical health and well-being in a fun and engaging way.
